Hi!

80,000 children rely on the Maine school system to supply them with their daily meals, and with schools being closed they will struggle just to eat. I wanted to share a little on how to help these kids in Maine get meals.

Full Plates Full Potential has established, Full Plates Emergency Fund. Which supports ANY public school throughout Maine that is closed due to the CoVid-19 pandemic. These emergency funds will continue to help schools pay for increased meals, packing breakfast and lunch meals, transporting the food to eligible sites, and more.

Cumberland County Food Security Council shares information on school meals during CoVid-19 school closures. Follow the link downward to see the pick-up sites for prepackaged breakfast and lunch meals for children 18 and under.

If you or someone you know doesn't know where to turn for food, the CCFSC also lists resources where to access food in Maine.

I love how our community is pulling together to heal through this outbreak. Whether it's something big or small, I hope each of you are finding ways to make this easy on those who are struggling.
