Jess here with your weekend reading/links. Since Valentine’s Day is around the corner I thought I’d round up some Valentine’s Day deal at some of my favorite local haunts.
Little Giant, one of my go-to spots for drinks and brunch! They are having a Tiki Night themed Valentine’s Day. $55/per person (which doesn’t include drinks). I checked today and they still have tables available!
Vena’s Fizz House: I love popping into Vena’s for a drink and they are having a special on Valentine’s Day for two cocktails and shortbread from C. LOVE COOKIE PROJECT, L3C with chocolate dipping sauce for $25. The special runs from February 12th -16th so you can sip and eat cookies without the holiday crowds too.
Cellar Door will be having a 4 course menu by Sampa Kitchen (formerly Grillin’ Brazilian) for $60/per person. Yum!
Omi’s will have all the pink goods from Rose Latte’s to pink pop tarts. They’ll also have a flower pop-up with Petal and Stem on February 14th.
HiFi Donut will have a special Valentine’s donut, sambuca mocha chocolate filled cruller 🤤.
I also wanted to include some local florists that are having a few specials. Fun Fact: I use to work in a floral shop in SF!
Field Floral Studio is run by an amazing floral designer, Megan Hevenor, whom I’ve had the great pleasure of photographing. 10% of all Valentine’s Day purchased will go to Speak About It, a Maine-based non-profit working with young adults to create healthy relationships and prevent sexual assault.
Yellow Twist Floral Design will be at the Gus and Ruby Letterpress Shop in Portland for a pop-up on Friday, February 14th from 12PM - 5PM.
Snell Family Farm has heart shaped twig wreaths with flowers that can be ordered on their site.
Floral by Fittsy will be at Anthropologie in Portland on Thursday, February 13th from 5PM - 7PM for a fun pop-up! Black Dinah Chocolatiers will also be there supplying chocolate and wine.
